      Collision In Reno Claimed Motorcyclist’s Life On Sutro Street

      Reno, NV (September 26th, 2024) A motorcyclist lost their life in a collision in Reno on Wednesday night, September 25th, 2024. The fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Sutro Street and East 6th Street just after 6:00 p.m., according to reports.

      Traffic moved through Reno at a steady pace on Wednesday evening, as drivers headed to various destinations. Suddenly, at the intersection of Sutro Street and East 6th Street, a motorcycle and another vehicle collided. The collision threw the rider from the motorcycle, giving them a hard landing on the road. The driver of the other vehicle immediately stopped and waited for authorities to arrive.

      The Reno Police Department arrived at the scene and found the the vehicle stopped on the roadway. Not far from it was a damaged motorcycle, along with the rider. Officers hurried to the rider’s side, ready to begin life-saving measures. The motorcyclist had sustained life-threatening injuries in the collision and was rushed to a local hospital to receive emergency care. The medical staff did everything within their power, but the motorcyclist’s injuries were too severe. Sadly, he succumbed to them and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

      Investigators with the Reno Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team are diligently working to determine what caused this fatal accident. They are also determined to figure out who was responsible for this collision in Reno. At this time, investigators do not believe that intoxication or speed were factors in this collision.
