Las Vegas, NV (April 12, 2024) A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed in Las Vegas when a vehicle turned in front of him, causing the two to collide. The fatal collision took place at Las Vegas Boulevard North and Bruce Street on Thursday, April 11th. The young motorcyclist was taken to a hospital where he later died, according to reports.
It was just before midnight on Thursday, April 11th, as a white Ford Escort headed south on Las Vegas Boulevard. As it approached Bruce Street, a black Honda Motorcycle was heading north. The Ford made a left turn onto Bruce Street, directly in the path of the motorcycle, according to reports. The motorcyclist had no time to react and the two vehicles collided. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the ground with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist lying on the ground, in critical condition. Paramedics began life-saving measures and the rider was rushed to UMC Trauma Center via ambulance. Emergency medical personnel did everything they could, but the rider’s injuries were too severe. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to officials.
The North Las Vegas Police Department is leading the investigation into this crash. They are asking anyone with information regarding this fatal accident to contact their office or Crime Stoppers. They gathered evidence at the scene and spoke to the driver of the Ford Escort. They hope to determine what caused this tragic collision in North Las Vegas.
