TULARE, CA (May 3, 2022) – A 70-year-old man was killed in an accident after a truck struck him while he was attempting to cross the street.
The accident occurred on Blackstone between Kern and Sonora, where the elderly man was struck by the truck away from a crosswalk.
Emergency response was able to take the man to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead 30 minutes later.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police. The accident is under investigation and there is no word on whether drugs or alcohol were involved in this accident.
