Turlock, CA (August 14, 2024) A fatal accident occurred at a Turlock intersection on Friday morning, August 9th, 2024. Tragically, 27-year-old Modesto resident Tori Keith was killed in the collision, officers reported. The accident occurred at the intersection of Golf Road and Harding Avenue around 10:45 a.m.

Initial reports indicated that Keith was heading east on Harding Avenue in a 2001 Honda sedan, approaching the intersection. She stopped at the stop sign and then began driving again. As she did so, a 2013 Chevy was heading south on Golf Road, making its way through the intersection. The 19-year-old Turlock resident driving the Chevy had no time to react and slammed into the side of the Honda, according to reports.

First responders arrived at the scene and found the two vehicles in the middle of the intersection, sitting in a field of glass and debris. Officers checked the vehicles, ready to offer medical aid to anyone in need. Sadly, they found Keith unresponsive. She had been killed during the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene, accident to reports. The 19-year-old driver of the Chevy walked away uninjured.

The California Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into this fatal collision. They are still working to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role in this Turlock accident. Tow trucks had to be called to the scene to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway and crews had to clean up the debris that littered the area, following the collision. Family and friends of Keith created a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral expenses.
