Mission Viejo, CA (November 7, 2023) – At least one person sustained minor injuries on Tuesday, November 7th, after a school bus was hit during a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 in Mission Viejo, California. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident took place at approximately 8:02 a.m. in the area north of Crown Valley Parkway.
The CHP reported that the four vehicles including a silver Hyundai SUV, a silver Honda van, an orange Ford F-150 pickup truck, and a school bus collided in the right hand lanes of the southbound side of Interstate 5. Reports did not indicate whether there were students on the school bus when the crash occurred. The exact cause of the collision is still under investigation.

Paramedics were called to the scene where they found and treated at least one person who had suffered minor injuries in the crash. Details about the victim or their condition have not been disclosed. Tow trucks had to be contacted to remove at least two of the vehicles from the scene, which had suffered major front end damage.
Police are currently investigating the four-vehicle crash on Interstate 5.
