      One Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision in Newman

      Newman, CA (August 13, 2024) A collision involving multiple vehicles occurred on Monday morning, August 12th, leaving one person with injuries.The early morning collision occurred just after 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Eastin Road and West Stuhr Road, according to police logs. Once person sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the accident.

      The sun had yet to rise over Newman, California, at 5:34 a.m. as vehicles approached the intersection of Eastin Road and West Stuhr Road with headlights beaming. For reasons that remain a mystery, several vehicles collided at the intersection, leaving the damaged automobiles blocking traffic. Debris littered the roadway as the vehicles sat under the glow of street lights.

      Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the damaged vehicles in the middle of the intersection. They found one person who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries, reports indicated. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital to receive treatment for injuries they received in the accident. Officers stated that the victim should make a full recovery.

      Officers began investigating the scene as the sun rose over the town of Newman. They questioned everyone involved, as well as those who had witnessed the accident, reports indicated. They gathered evidence and had to call a tow truck to remove at least one of the checks from the intersection. Debris had to be swept off the roadway, as well, according to reports.
