Salinas, CA (November 20, 2023) – At least one person was killed and several others were injured on Monday, November 20th, following a severe head-on crash on Espinosa Road in Salinas, California. The California Highway Patrol noted that the tragic accident took place at around 5:47 a.m. at 53 Espinosa in the area east of Castroville Road.
According to reports from the CHP, two vehicles were involved including a Nissan Maxima and an unnamed second vehicle. The two cars collided head on at high speed, the Maxima lost control and ended up far off the road with severe front end damage.

Paramedics were quickly called to the scene to help the injured. They found at least three people who had sustained injuries in the crash, one of which was very severe. Two of these injured parties required help to exit their vehicles. Sadly one of the injured persons succumbed to their injuries and was passed away at the scene.
Espinosa Road was closed for a time in order for police to investigate the incident and for the wreckage to be cleared. Tow trucks were called to move both vehicles. At this time the head-on crash on Espinosa Road is still under investigation.
