(Claremont, CA) A crash that resulted in a fire killed Matthew McMahon and Rasheed Bledsoe in Claremont.
On Monday, April 28 at 2:10 a.m., Claremont police reported the fiery Claremont crash. According to police, the crash occurred on East Sixth Street, close to Mills Avenue.
When officers investigated the collision, they learned a vehicle, a Tesla, crashed into a tree. Shortly after, the vehicle burst into flames, prompting Los Angeles Fire Department to extinguish the fire. When county fire department officials put out the fire, they found Matthew McMahon, 38, and Rasheed Bledsoe, 52.
After police officials surveyed the crash site and the firefighters cleared the area, they pronounced Matthew McMahon and Rasheed Bledsoe dead at the scene. A hazardous materials team came a while later to deal with the lithium battery of the Tesla.
