Yuba City, CA (November 24, 2023) – At least one individual suffered major injuries on Friday, November 17th, following a severe two-vehicle wreck on Highway 99 in Yuba City, California. According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was first reported around 3:17 p.m. in the area between Messick Road and Oswald Road.
The CHP reported that two vehicles, including a Subaru, collided at high speed in the southbound side of the freeway. The Subaru suffered major front end damage and was rendered inoperable. The resulting wreckage temporarily blocked all southbound traffic. No further details about the vehicles involved or the potential cause of the accident were made available.

The Yuba County Fire Department dispatched paramedic units to the scene where they located and assisted at least one person with major injuries. The injured individual was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Tow trucks also responded to the scene to help clear the road and restore traffic flow.
