According to the Modesto Police Department a 79 year-old man, who was riding a bicycle at the time, was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Wednesday, August 1st.
The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Snyder Avenue in Modesto. The vehicle involved in the crash was a 2021 Dodge Ram pick-up truck, which fled the scene.

The victim was transported to the hospital with severe injuries and was later pronounced dead. The victim’s identity has not been revealed.
The driver of the Dodge Ram was later found and denied involvement in the hit-and-run in Modesto. He is in the process of being charged with felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter.
