Novato, CA (December 13, 2023) – 79 year old Ali Safar Navadeh was tragically killed on Friday, December 8th, after a serious car crash on Highway 101 in Novato, California. According to local news source Kron4, the accident took place around 5:08 p.m. near the Alameda Del Prado exit.
The California Highway Patrol reported that Navadeh’s car had stalled due to mechanical issues and he was parked on the side of Highway 101, waiting for assistance. A short time later another car driving at full speed veered onto the shoulder for unknown reasons and collided with Navadeh’s car, with him inside.

Navadeh sustained major injuries in the impact and, despite medical intervention from responding paramedics, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other car, a man in his 60s from Calistoga, suffered minor injuries and also received attention from paramedics.
Police are investigating the death of Ali Safar Navadeh. They do not believe drugs or alcohol to be contributing factors in the crash.
