Los Angeles, CA (September 3, 2023) Two people died and one person was injured following a Los Angeles crash on Saturday evening. Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department, said the collision occurred near the Bad News Bears Field.
The 2- vehicle crash happened around 5:58 p.m. on Saturday in the 1500 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard, at Ohio Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. A white Sedan and a red sedan collided, the force of impact pushing the red sedan off the road. It seemed that the white sedan spun out after impact.
Upon arrival, fire fighters found one person trapped in each car. They used hydraulic tools to get the people out and sent them to trauma centers, where they both later died. Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department told City News Service the two people who died were the passenger in one vehicle and the driver of the other.

Humphrey said there was also a passenger in one of the vehicles who wasn’t trapped but critically injured. They were transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He also said that two good Samaritans tried to free the two people who were trapped in cars before emergency crews arrived at the scene. The two good Samaritans suffered minor injuries in the process of helping, but declined treatment.
Officers are investigating the cause of the this accident. Officers and witnesses said a lot of debris covered the road. Sepulveda Boulevard was closed between Ohio Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue during the investigation.
