Agoura Hills, CA (August 3, 2023) 2 big rigs and an SUV collided on the freeway early Thursday morning, according to California Highway Patrol. The accident took place west of Chesebro Road on the 101 Freeway around 1:10 a.m.
A witness, whose name is unknown, was at the scene, and told Key News Network that the first Semi collided with a dark-colored SUV and then a second semi came down the freeway and couldn’t stop. The second semi slammed into the first semi and SUV. One of the semi trucks ended up jackknifed and the collision blocked the freeway.

Both big rigs sustained major damage to their front ends, according to footage taken of the crash site. The SUV was on it’s side in a vegetation area on the side of the road. At least one person was injured and taken to a local hospital for injuries sustained in this accident.
The accident is still under investigation to find the cause.
