SACRAMENTO, CA (SEPTEMBER 3, 2023): 63-year-old Dorothy Baca was killed by a hit-and-run vehicle while riding her bicycle at a Sacramento intersection on August 27th.
According to Sacramento authorities, the incident occurred at around 1:53 a.m., when Baca and another vehicle collided under unknown circumstances at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 21st Avenue.

The vehicle failed to stop and fled the scene.
Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after, and attempted to administer first-aid to Baca lying in the roadway. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No information about the fleeing vehicle has been made available. The Major Collision Investigations Unit will take on the investigation of this fatal accident involving Dorothy Baca.
