The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred at approximately 1:39 a.m., just north of Carmenita Road on the 5 Freeway. Hazelwood was driving a Honda Accord on the 5 Freeway, when he drifted and slammed into the back of a semi-truck that was stopped on the shoulder of the freeway. Red Bluff, CA (December 5, 2023) 61-year-old Ginger Morgan was struck and killed by a vehicle in Red Bluff on Sunday, December 3rd. The Red Bluff Police Department said the accident happened on Highway 36 at approximately 8:37 p.m. It happened east of Interstate 5 in the eastbound lane of Antelope Boulevard-Highway 36, authorities said. Martinez, CA (December 5, 2023) 31-year-old Elsy Zapien-Vasquez from Pittsburg was killed in a fiery collision on Highway 4 in Martinez, authorities said. Officer Darius Rackley, a motorcycle officer with the California Highway Patrol said he attempted to stop her for speeding. Sacramento, CA (December 5, 2023) 26-year-old Alethea Lee was arrested on Friday night for a DUI after hitting three pedestrians. She injured 2 children and killed their mother. The deadly accident took place along Pocket Road near Greenhaven Drive just after 6:00 p.m., according to the Sacramento Police Department.
