Indio, CA (December 12, 2023) Coachella resident, Fernando Cruz, Jr., 39, was struck and killed in Indio on December 9th, authorities said. The fatal accident occurred on Vista Del Norte, just west of Dillon Road, shortly after 11:00 a.m. A vehicle was heading west on Vista Del Norte when it hit a pedestrian, according to reports. Los Angeles, CA (December 11, 2023) 58-year-old Samuel Martinez Jimenez was killed on Monday, December 11th, in a wrong-way crash in Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the accident occurred at approximately 12:44 a.m. at Crenshaw Boulevard and West 30th Street. It happened just after 11:30 p.m. in the 8900 block of State Highway 6. Witnesses said that they saw a woman walking where there were no lights on Highway 6 and she wasn’t in a designated crosswalk. Mountain View, CA (December 11, 2023) Sarah Nefstad, 35, was struck and killed by a vehicle in a Walmart parking lot in Mountain View. The tragic accident happened right around 6:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4th, authorities said. Carlsbad, CA (December 11, 2023) A 41-year-old man was injured and 40-year-old Lindsey Roberts was arrested following a police pursuit that ended in a collision. San Diego Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Christi Ramirez said the incident began around 9:15 p.m. It began when a deputy, who was in Encinitas, saw a black Toyota Corolla drifting and swerving, unable to stay in its lane. They suspected that the driver may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol and attempted to pull over the Corolla. Long Beach, CA (December 10, 2023) Ronald Quispe, a 32-year-old Long Beach resident, was arrested on Saturday, December 9th, after hitting and killing a woman and then fleeing the scene. The accident took place in the 2700 block of Atlantic Avenue, according to Long Beach Police Department Lt. Jonathan Cole. Just before 5:30 p.m., Quispe hit the woman and then left the scene of the scene. The Long Beach Fire Department sent paramedics to the scene who performed life-saving measures on the woman, but she was later pronounced dead at the scene. Arlington, TX (December 10, 2023) A 75-year-old grandmother, Marianne Brown, was hit and killed by a drunk driver 11 minutes from her house in Arlington. 44-year-old Guerrero Madrid-Salgado, struck Marianne just after 9:00 a.m. on the back roads of Arlington. Madrid-Salgado is now in jail and Marrianne Brown’s family are mourning the loss of a mother and grandmother. Brown’s daughter, Elizabeth Hudec, said that she and her mother had discussed her using back roads instead of highways and interstates because they felt it was safer.
