Apple Valley, CA (January 16, 2024) 55-year-old Brian Dean Johnson, an Apple Valley resident, was killed in a pedestrian accident in his home town last week. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Coroner, the fatal accident occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11th. Johnson was hit by two vehicles on US Highway 18 at Pawnee Road in Apple Valley. A black Toyota Tacoma pickup was heading east on Highway 18 when it struck Johnson in the 21900 block of the highway. Carlsbad, CA (January 16, 2024) Jose Lozano, 69, and his wife, Luz Duran Rios, 55, both from Richmond, were killed by a DUI driver on Interstate 5 in Carlsbad, authorities reported. The deadly crash occurred on Saturday, January 13th, at approximately 3:49 a.m., just north of Palomar Airport Road. It happened when a gray Hyundai sedan, driven by 28-year-old Angela Hays, collided with a green Jeep Grand Cherokee on Interstate 5. Jurupa Valley, CA (January 16, 2024) A female pedestrian was killed by a hit-and-run driver in the 4000 block of Etiwanda Avenue in Jurupa Valley. The fatal accident happened just before 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 13th, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies. Deputies arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian unresponsive and lying in a nearby parking lot. Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. The fatal accident took place in the 3800 block of Stockdale Highway, shortly after 11:30 p.m. on January 10th.
