This fatal crash took place at the intersection of Requa Avenue and Monroe Street, right around 2:43 a.m. Many in the community have said that Mendoza’s presence in the community will not be forgotten. Bonsall, CA (February 8, 2024) An early morning drive turned deadly in Bonsall on Wednesday, January 31st. 86-year-old Thomas Carl Asper was tragically killed in a two-vehicle collision on Old Highway 395, the California Highway Patrol reported. Asper was driving a maroon Toyota Venza SUV on Old Highway 395 near the Interstate 15 off ramp. At the same time, an 18-year-old woman from Wildomar was driving a black Jaguar XF from the I-15 off ramp. Fresno, CA (January 7, 2024) It was the middle of the night in Fresno’s Tower District when two people were struck by a vehicle while walking behind Dollar Tree. Just before 1:30 a.m., on February 7th, a vehicle left the road and slammed into two pedestrians as they walked, killing one and seriously injuring the other, authorities said. Rancho Cucamonga, CA (February 7, 2024) As the sun set in the city of Rancho Cucamonga on January 31st, a life was taken at the intersection of 6th Street and Hermosa Avenue. 34-year-old Brenda Kimberly Jimenez, a passenger, was killed in a two-vehicle collision. Yucca Valley, CA (January 7, 2024) A community has united in support following the devastating death of 16-year-old Joshua Alexander Barreras. Barreras was hit by a vehicle on January 26th and left alone to die in the center median of Twentynine Palms Highway, officers said. It was 8:26 p.m. when Barreras was walking down Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley. He was just east of Avalon Avenue, not far from Walmart, officers said, when Barreras was hit by a vehicle.
