Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA (April 17, 2024) A collision involving at least six vehicles occurred on Highway 1 near Vandenberg Space Force Base on Tuesday. Four people were injured in the collision and Highway 1 had to be closed for an extended period of time, officers said. As vehicles traveled up and down Highway 1 in Santa Barbara County on Tuesday night, a chain of reaction collision occurred. Sparks, NV (April 16, 2024) Airbags deployed, tow trucks were called and a Sparks, Nevada intersection was blocked, following a two-vehicle collision. The collision took place at the intersection of Farr Lane and Pyramid Way on Monday afternoon, April 15th. Three people were injured in this collision, but all are expected to make a full recovery, officers said. A Toyota was heading east on Farr Lane as it approached the intersection of Pyramid Way. Mokelumne Hill, CA (April 16, 2024) A head-on crash occurred on Tuesday morning in Mokelumne Hill, leaving one person with injuries. It all happened on Highway 49 at approximately 8:00 a.m. in Calaveras County. The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision happened near Big Bar Road in the area of 13 Corners, not far from the Amador County line. The two-vehicle accident occurred when one of the cars drifted into oncoming traffic on Highway 49, officers said. The two vehicles slammed into each other, head-on, at fairly high rates of speed. Bakersfield, CA (April 16, 2024) A three-vehicle collision on Highway 65 in Bakersfield claimed one person’s life on April 13th. The collision claimed the life of a 21-year-old Jaqueline Orosco, who was a resident of Bakersfield, according to reports. It all happened right around 5:00 p.m., east of Delano and south of Highway 155, the California Highway Patrol said. A Toyota was traveling north on Highway 65 in Bakersfield when a Ford truck crossed the double yellow line and ended up going the wrong-way. Lancaster, CA (April 16, 2024) Disbelief fell over the town of Lancaster on Monday night after a motorcyclist was tragically killed in a hit-and-run collision. The horrible crash took place east of 42nd Street, on Avenue K at approximately 9:40 p.m. The vehicle that collided with the motorcycle fled the scene, leaving the rider with life-threatening injuries, reports indicated. It was just before 10:00 p.m. on April 15th as a motorcyclist rode along Avenue K in Lancaster. Pine Valley, CA (April 16, 2024) A tragic accident took place in Pine Valley on April 13th. A pedestrian, identified as 61-year-old Mary Stewart, was fatally struck by a pickup truck while walking on the shoulder of Pine Boulevard. The deadly accident happened right around 11:00 a.m., just south of Rocky Pass, near San Diego, reports indicated. Stewart was walking north on the shoulder of Pine Boulevard on Saturday, April 13th. Northridge, CA (April 15,2024) A tragic accident unfolded in Northridge on Monday morning when Kristen Long, 33, was killed by a hit-and-run driver. Phelan, CA (April 15, 2024) Sadness swept through the town of Phelan on Sunday evening, as news spread of a head-on collision that killed the drivers of both vehicles. A child in one of the vehicles sustained critical injuries in the crash. It all happened around 8:15 p.m. on Phelan Road, east of Tumbleweed Road, according to reports.
