Bakersfield, CA (November 20, 2023) A pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle while walking on Olive Drive in Bakersfield on Saturday evening, according to authorities. The collision occurred at the Victor Street and Olive Drive intersection.
The California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Page stated that the driver who struck the pedestrian, ended up blocking the westbound lanes of the road following the accident. They kept more cars from hitting the victim and waited for police officers and paramedics to arrive.

Upon arrival, paramedics found the pedestrian on the ground, alive but injured. They carefully loaded the pedestrian into an ambulance and transported them to a local hospital to receive treatment. The extent of the pedestrian’s injuries is still unknown, as is their current medical condition following treatment after the accident.
The road remained blocked for a time while officers investigated the scene to try and determine what exactly happened on Olive Drive in Bakersfield on Saturday, November 18th.
