Riverside, CA (November 15, 2023) A 19-year-old Riverside man lost his life on Tuesday evening, November 14th, when he collided with a UPS truck, according to authorities. The collision occurred just minutes before 6:00 p.m. on Van Buren Boulevard, near Lovebird Lane.
The fatal crash involved 3 vehicles; a blue Toyota Corolla, a black sedan and a UPS truck. The black sedan caught on fire seconds after the collision, according to the California Highway Patrol Dispatch. reports also stated that one of the vehicles also split into two pieces during the collision.

The Riverside County Fire Department responded to the scene and found a 19-year-old man with serious injuries. Paramedics arrived at the scene and began life-saving measures, but despite all their efforts, the young man died from his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 6:12 p.m., according to the Riverside Police Department. A medical examiner was called to the scene and is withholding the victim’s name until he can notify the young man’s family.
