Los Angeles, CA (November 13, 2023) A woman lost her life on Sunday evening, November 12th, when she was struck by a vehicle near Ballona Marsh in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department said the accident occurred around 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Jefferson Boulevard and Lincoln Boulevard.
The woman, believed to be between the ages of 25 and 30, was seen lying in the street, as if she had passed out, according to witnesses. As she laid in the roadway, a vehicle came down the street and ran over her.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found the woman still lying in the road, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center. Paramedics were ready to perform life-saving measures, but the woman was already deceased. Authorities pronounced her dead at the scene and the medical examiner was called.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the woman remained at the scene following the accident and cooperated with police officers. Officers reported that he was heading west on Jefferson Boulevard at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard, near the Ballona Freshwater Marsh and didn’t see the woman in the street until it was too late.
Authorities are not sure why the woman was lying in the roadway. They are continuing to investigate this collision to try and understand exactly what happened near Ballona Marsh in Los Angeles.
