HAYWARD, CA (SEPTEMBER 18, 2023): A man has died following a multi-vehicle collision involving a hit-and-run driver in Hayward this weekend.
According to Hayward authorities, officers responded to a hit-and-run collision involving three vehicles at around 12:47 a.m. on Sunday near the 27000 block of Huntwood Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers discovered only two vehicles, two drivers, and a single passenger still on the scene. The driver of the first vehicle was uninjured and cooperated with authorities.
The driver of the second vehicle was discovered unconscious and suffering from severe injuries. Unfortunately, medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. The passenger of the vehicle was uninjured.
The driver of the third vehicle fled the scene prior to the arrival of authorities. The vehicle was discovered unoccupied a short time after the collision.
